EEK! My Son is an ED Nurse!

COVID19 has everyone a little nervous, just as I imagine it was when God sent 10 plagues after Moses tried to free His people from an unyielding Pharaoh. And people have been anxious during other times as well―with the Black Plague during the 14th century, the flu in 1918, and even a few recent scares with Ebola, N1H1, etc. But the current pandemic is a bit different as is the world's reaction to it.

I think the scariest issue is that asymptomatic individuals can give the virus to others. My youngest son, who is an emergency department nurse, has seen first hand what COVID19 can do and how quickly things can progress. He and my daughter-in-law (also a nurse) isolate themselves when not on duty to protect others, just in case. They can't be tested as that is reserved only for those exhibiting symptoms. On the few occasions when I've had to interact in person with my son, he keeps his distance as far as possible, and even "yells" at me to stay away if he thinks I'm too close!

So, now that I have opined about my situation, I confess that I never have difficulty entertaining myself. Of course, I write (a new short story eBook relating to our pandemic Miracle of the Apocalypse is now available on all the major retailer book sites), and I do puzzles, both solving and creating them. That is the diversion I can give to you, something fun with a pleasant theme―pets! Enjoy!
